Barons 1, Garden City 3

November 15


Kim Richards scored in the second half as the Barons lost to Garden City 3–1 in the Class B semifinals of the state championships.

Miranda Lakis was named to the all-tournament team and Mollie Kase received the sportsmanship award for this year.

The Barons finished the season at 17–1–2.

The team banquet is at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Oak Hill Country Club.

Regional Champions!

Barons 4, Amherst 0

November 10


Keeley Samsonik scored twice and Kim Richards scored once in the first half and Mollie Kase added a goal in the second as the Barons defeated Amherst Central 4–0 for their second straight regional championship.

Kim Richards had two goals and Keeley Samsonik scored once as the Barons defeated Pittsford Mendon 3–0 to claim their second straight Section V championship.

Keeley Samsonik scored twice and Maddy Zelazny and Miranda Lakis added goals in the first half to lead the Barons to a 4–1 win over Pittsford Sutherland in a sectional semifinal.

The Barons (15–0–2) play Pittsford Mendon on Tuesday, Nov. 4, for the sectional title at Eastridge High School.

October 24


Kim Richards scored three times and Mollie Kase, Katie Cox, Keeley Samsonik, Ella Charlesworth, and Catherine Hauser put in a goal each as the Barons defeated Hilton 8–0 during senior night at the Brighton turf.

The Barons (14–0–2) moved into sectional play with a first-round bye.

Keeley Samsonik, Miranda Lakis, Kim Richards, Mackenzie Smillie, and Catherine Hauser were among the scorers as the Barons topped Irondequoit 9–0.

Mollie Kase and Maddy Zelazny put in goals, and Catherine Hauser, Kim Richards, and Ella Charlesworth teamed up to score two more as the Barons beat Sutherland in a 4–0 win.

Mollie Kase, Keeley Samsonik, Catherine Hauser, and Kim Richards each scored a goal in the second half to help the Barons to a 4–0 win at East Rochester.

The Barons improved to 6–0–1 on the year with a 2–0 victory at Penfield.

Barons 7, Gates-Chili 0

Molly Kase, Keeley Samsonik, Kim Richards, and Ella Charlesworth were among the Barons who put in goals as the Barons defeated Gates-Chili 7–0 at the Brighton turf Thursday.

Kim Richards scored twice and Katie Cox, Keeley Samsonik, Ella Charlesworth, and Mackenzie Smillie each put in a goal as the Barons defeated Irondequoit 6-0.

Next up for the Barons is a homecoming game against Gates at 7 p.m. Thursday on the Brighton High School turf.

September 12

Ellie Clement and Kim Richards scored goals for the Barons and Veronica Verstraten had her third shutout in a 2–0 victory over Pittsford Sutherland.

The Barons take on Irondequoit at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Irondequoit High School.

Barons 5, East Irondequoit 0

September 8

Molly Kase, Kim Richards, Miranda Lakis, Sierra Rivers, and Keeley Samsonik each scored a goal as the Barons defeated East Irondequoit 5-0.

The Barons take on Pittsford Sutherland Sept. 12 at the Brighton High School turf.

Barons 0, Mendon 0 (OT)

September 4

Veronica Verstraten held Mendon out of the goal as the Barons battled to a 0–0 tie in overtime on the grass at Thornell Road School.

The Barons take on East Irondequoit in the home opener at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the Brighton High School turf.

Barons 4, Fairport 1

September 3

Keeley Samsonik and Catie Golini each scored twice as the Barons opened the varsity season with a 4–1 win over Fairport.

Our teams played extremely well. Our first U12 team won both of their games. The varsity teams both made it to the finals but opted to forego the championship game and leave the tournament as cochampions! Great day!

Thank you to all the outstanding coaches and a huge thank you to Katy Hanrahan for all of the organizational work.


A Record-Setting Season

The Barons return this fall from a record-setting 2013 season, when they finished second in the state, won the Section V title for the first time since 1998, and finished with a 19–2 record. Relive the season . . .
